Learn about EWG Scores Understanding the EWG rating EWG Skin Deep® uses a 1–10 hazard scale based on known and suspected hazards associated with an ingredient. Lower scores indicate a lower hazard rating: 1–2 Low 3–6 Moderate 7–10 High The rating is a useful reference point, but it is not a complete safety assessment. It does not take into account factors such as concentration, exposure or individual sensitivity. Lupito considers EWG information alongside other relevant research and safety information when selection ingredients for our dog-care formulations.

WHAT IS IT?
Berry Wax is a natural vegetable wax obtained from the fruit peels of the Rhus verniciflua tree, also known as the Japanese lacquer tree. Unlike harder plant waxes, it has a soft, silky texture that melts readily against the warmth of the skin.
ORIGIN
Plant-derived from the peels of the fruit of the Rhus verniciflua tree.
BENEFITS
Adds structure and stability to the balm; creates a smooth, easy-to-apply texture; improves glide; helps soften and condition dry skin; and leaves behind a light protective layer without feeling overly heavy.
DID YOU KNOW?
Berry Wax is a vegan alternative to beeswax, but it feels softer and lighter. Part of the wax begins to melt below body temperature, helping the balm glide smoothly across the nose.
